Meet the Planning & Zoning Staff

Eddie Barnes, Zoning Administrator for the Town of Seven Devils, spent 25 years with the Wilkes County Planning Department before retiring as director of the department in 2022. Mr. Barnes received his American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) credentials in 2006 and his North Carolina Zoning Officials certification (NCAZO) in 2000. Mr. Barnes duties for the town include issuing various land-use permits and administration of the town’s unified development ordinance and other land use ordinances. Mr. Barnes has been with the town since April 2022.
